Woke up at 11.43am today and was supposed to meet May and Shu Qin at 1pm. I was late for about like 45 minutes? Mooch about at home, having my mango cake and talking on the phone with dear. Reached there and felt uneasy. I wasn't behaving quite like myself. I didn't have the energy. I can't stretch, I can't run, I have no energy to lob hard at all. I didn't even smash at all today! Feeling lethargic totally. Accompanied May to get contacts which is so much cheaper than what I'm purchasing now! 3 pairs of monthly colourless contacts I got it for $30 but I could get it at $25! 3 pairs of monthly coloured contacts I could get it at $30! I believe if I would to buy it at my optician, it's gonna be more by that $5. Though it's just $5 that I can save, it means a lunch to me! She ordered her contacts and we headed for the library. Don't know what's wrong with me today. I told ya I wasn't feeling like myself. I was the one who requested to go to the library and damn I haven't stepped into the library for centuries! Picked out 2 books only because I'm sure I wouldn't be able to finish within 3 weeks. One is "One Night" by Margaret Wild and the other is "Confessions of a NOT IT girl" by Melissa Kantor. But believe it! I reached home at 6.15pm, went to take my shower and came out started burrowing my head into the book. I started with "One Night", reading reading reading. Had my dinner at 7 plus close to 8. Finished at around 8.30pm and went back to the book again. Reading, and reading and finally I just finished it. I didn't log online the whole day today till now while I'm blogging. Though the book may look thick but in one page it doesn't contain much words. Still, it's a great achievement to me because I never liked reading! This is my first book I really read and understand - for all I could remember after so many years of studying. Was really nice and it marks out how much a teenage mum would go through to bring up a baby. It sketches the meeting of Helen and Gabe, to the verge of abortion but still gave birth to Raphael. Gabe being the flirtatious guy who never fails to get involved in parties and hooks up with at least one girl in a party. He don't even know who is the mother when he saw the note on Raphael's tummy when Helen wrote that it was Gabe's son. He didn't even know he was a father! In the end, Helen took the courage to stand in front of Gabe and took his son back after her search for Leanne. Gabe then begged her to stay. Helen claimed to have a pig face but admit to have the nicest and stunning smile. Gabe was attracted by her mesmerizing smile which created Raphael. =D Duh! Go to Toa Payoh library if you want this book, sounds lame to tell you guys this. Haha! I'm gonna start "Confessions of a NOT IT Girl" tomorrow. I'm gonna tuck in! Good night! =)
